Honorable ones Mrs. Kusmiati, our speech Lecturer, My friends and all of the audiences. Before I begin to give a speech, I would like to invite you to thank to Allah the Almighty, who has given us Mercy and Blessing, so we can meet together in this blessing place.
And also I don’t forget to deliver shalawat and salam to our prophet Muhammad SAW, who has brought us from the darkness, so we are always in the right way.
Ladies and gentlement,
Social Networking has grown to a level where it becomes part of people’s everyday living. As with everything on the internet, there are advantages and disadvantages of social networking.
Here are some adventages of social networking:
1. Low Cost
Definitely, it’s cheaper to use online social networking for both personal and bussiness use, because most of it is usually free. While personal use is rather simple for anyone, the bussiness functions are underestimated by many.
If you want to fine tune your bussiness, then this is the way to go, whether on budget or not.
2. Builds credibility
You definitely can gain the customers’ confidence if you can connect to them on both personal and professional level. As long as you don’t pursue them to agressively, you will do well here.
3. Connections
You are friends with people who have othe friends, and so on. The re is potential in such a common situation.
That definitely sounds exciting. However, what about the disadvantages though?
1. Lack of privacy
You are putting out information about your name, location, age, gender, and many other. Even though, nowadays we can manipulate all of those things. But in facebook and twitter, when we like or joining some groups, it will be seen by our friends. It bothers us a lot.
2. Scams and Harassment
Have you ever heard about facebook kidnapping? Yes, there are so many kidnapping through facebook nowadays. There are also many fake shop, fake people in facebook. So, we must be careful using social networking.
3. Time consuming
If this is not your kind of thing that it would just be a waste of time.
Once you understand the advantages and disadvantages of Social Networking, then you can cruise through without fail.
